John Blatherwick had compiled historical data on all of Canada’s major airlines.  This history concentrates on aircraft and routes rather than people, bringing together for the first time all the fleet listings of Canada’s major carriers.

Part 1 covered the details of the development of Trans Canada Airlines/Air Canada and other “Major” Trans-Canada and International Airlines.  Part 2 details the history of six regional airlines (later merged to form Canadian Airlines International).  Commuter Airlines was covered in Part 3, and Part 4 deals with Het Charter Airlines.  Part 5 covered small carriers, Part 6 included airline operations and services maintained by the provincial government.  Part 7 included the Canadian Armed Forces with fleet listings
