The Armed Yachts of Canada is the story of the 21 ornate luxury yachts that were pressed into service by the Canadian Navy during World Wars I and II.  Five of these yachts served in the First World War, and their story is traced until 1946, at which point the text of the book backtracks to follow the history of the 16 Second World War vessels.

The book ends with a look at the disposal of the yachts after the two World Wars; not only those that were scrapped, but also those that went on to serve for many more years as private vessels once again.
