The SPYPOINT FLEX S (Solar) has a unique Dual-SIM for Multi-Carrier Auto-Connectivity and the Instant Mode – On Demand.
As the name implies, the Instant Mode is an operating mode available on the FLEX-S trail camera from SPYPOINT that allows you to communicate with the camera at any time, not just at the next scheduled sync. This means you can request a status update, as well as request on-demand photos or videos. It also means that any changes to your settings will happen instantly.
Operating in Instant Mode, the camera stays active at all times, rather than waiting for your preferred sync schedule.
Every FLEX-S on your cameras tab will have an instant box to the right of the display. Tapping this button will ask if you want to request a photo or video preview from the camera. Confirming your selection will prompt the camera to take that photo or video and immediately send it to you. A three-frame animated preview will be sent to you before you request the full video.
Instant Mode and on-demand requests are just part of what the FLEX-S does. You don’t have to use it if you don’t want, but it is another option for you. And it is an option that you have for no additional expense. As long as you have photos left in your monthly plan, you can take advantage of on-demand requests for no additional charge. The on-demand request can at least give you the comfort of knowing that your camera is working as it should.
A dual-sim trail camera means that two sim cards are preactivated and preinstalled in the camera. Because SPYPOINT is activating and installing both sim cards before it arrives at the hunter, setup and use is made much easier. The camera has access to both sim cards without the hunter having to do anything.
When the camera is turned on, it checks one of the cards for network connectivity. If a usable network signal is found, then it stops right there. It’s done, and it will use that network to send photos and videos to the SPYPOINT app. If the first sim checked doesn’t return a quality network connection, then it will move on to the second sim card, and scan that network for a reliable signal. The FLEX will automatically check the other sim card to see if performance can be improved by switching to the other card. The camera is doing this automatically.
The Solar panel uses the power of the sun to keep the internal lithium battery charged for months.
Four capture modes are available Photo, Video, Time-Lapse & Time-Lapse + The Time-Lapse+ function takes photos at your preferred interval & when the camera’s detection sensor is triggered.
