Description
Original British M1853 socket bayonet for the M1853 rifled musket (Also fits the Snider 3-band). Not British government marked, possibly indicating it was sent to the US during the Civil War. Blade has lovely patina, and there are some fencing marks on the edge of the blade. Scabbard is solid and in very good condition.
